My name is Cindy Rushton, I am your hostess for this event. This is our fourth annual completely virtual homeschool convention. I have traveled to hundreds of conventions through the years. Of course, that has meant that I had to travel many, many MILES…stay in many, many hotels…leave my home many, many times…and inevitably choose between which conventions, speakers and events I would attend. There was NEVER an event that had everything in one place. Well, until now!
Every year, we set up a bigger and bigger…better and better…well, ULTIMATE homeschool convention online. I am the type of person who wants it all when I go to events–I want to hear EVERY SESSION, I want time to get to know the speakers and vendors, I want to have time to really shop and get to know the curriculum that I am choosing, and I want time to get to know other families. Obviously, you could NEVER get all of that in a local homeschool convention. That need brought the birth of The Ultimate Homeschool Expo over 4 years ago.
We begin recording sessions 1o FULL WEEKS before our Expo Week. In fact, we count down to the event by offering wonderful and practical workshops each Tuesday afternoon leading up to the event. We call them our Preview Chats. They are hosted here at our site or at our sister-site, Talk-a-Latte (Talk-a-Latte offers Chats EVERY Tuesday all year round on great topics that you would love!).
Our Preview Chats are recorded live! You can join each and every one completely free–either here at our website (we have a private conference room available during each chat) or by telephone.
All we ask is that you sign up here at our website for our mailing list (upper left on the sidebar) or by purchasing your ticket for this year’s event. We send reminders with all of the details for each Preview Chat and we post updates about them here on our Membership Site and at Facebook. You can attend every session of our event live for free. We also record seminar sessions live during the week of our Ultimate Homeschool Expo (May 3-7, 2010 ). During the event, all attendees are able to join us live while we record each session. You can attend those sessions live or if you must miss sessions, you don’t have to miss the recordings because we record and archive them at our members only Membership Site! Our Membership Site becomes a full library of resources that you can use again and again throughout your school year and for years to come!
